| OUR HISTORICAL ORGAN |
| The church's 1971 Casavant organ was renovated and enlarged in 2008–2009 by Elsener Organ Works and Ahlborn-Galanti and is now known as the CAGE (Casavant-Ahlborn-Galanti-Elsener) organ. The upgraded organ provides better choral support and reliable service, has special voices such as harpsichord, harp/celesta, trompette en chamade, piccolo trumpet, and timpani, and has 3 manuals with 59+ stops (33 pipe ranks—1,711 pipes—and 39+ digital ranks). A variety of playable new digital voices are playable by selecting the voice from a set of voices available on the “Additional Stop” drawknobs. Some of the digital voices have multiple variants of the voice so that the organist can custom select voices for a special effect, such as Baroque-style or French-Romantic sound. In addition, every pipe stop is backed up by a coordinating digital stop so that the organ can play “pipes only,” “digital only,” or “pipes + digital.” The CAGE organ incorporates the 20 tubular ball chimes from an earlier 1928 Estey organ. The organ’s new 3- manual console was built by Elsener Organ Works and is controlled by a custom Ahlborn-Galanti 3200 digital organ system. |
