BOARD OF CHRISTIAN
OUTREACH
We have many programs and outreach opportunities in place. An example  is our program to help those who
at 973-316-5045 or e-mail her at Broome251@aol.com You can help with this ministry by calling the church
office with the name of the person in need or if you would like to prepare food that can be frozen or prepared
ahead of time.

A major dimension of our self-understanding is to provide practical service to our neighboring 1941.  We also
host Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Webloes, the YMCA, Hospice, and other altruistic organizations. Our facilities
are frequently sought out as we welcome everyone.

Each year, The Community Church generously sets aside a portion of its budget for contributions to worthy
non-profit agencies.  One of Outreaches primary functions is to choose the recipients and allocate the
available funds. In recent years as many as fifteen area organizations have received monetary donations.
Outreach maintains a bulletin board with information and opportunities for volunteers.

Outreach provides support and responds to the needs of the coordinators and volunteers of the SCEEP
tutoring program.

Outreach is responsible for finding individuals to contribute weekly dinners for the children as well as
coordinates the donation by church members of Christmas stockings for each SCEEP participant. In addition,
Outreach sponsors a coat drive for the Market Street Mission each October, and a Christmas dinner for
members of the Mental Health Association of Morris County social clubs each December.
