The Board of Parish Life is very active here at the Community Church. It
encourages membership and activity within the Church. The types of services,
family activities appealing to many ages, support for prospective and new
members, and general support of church functions.
Ongoing events supported by the committee include Rally Day picnics,
Thanksgiving Day breakfasts, a holiday dinner, soup and subs on Super Bowl
Sunday.
The committee schedules events about once a month. Past activities have
included such diverse programs as a family trip to the circus or to see the
Globetrotters, hiking and lunch at a local park, Bingo Night, Old time Movie and
Popcorn, Family Bowling night, Halloween parties with hay rides and ghost
stories, and a Lip Sync competition.
The ministry of the church provides individuals and families many opportunities
to enjoy Christian fellowship with the entire church family.
